The Location Plan
For this assignment, you will create a location plan for a business of your choice. Follow the steps below to complete this assignment:
- 1. Choose an industry or a business that you have a passion for – for example, soap or candle making, etc.
- 2. Research your chosen business, and then describe in detail, general information about the business, including the industry it belongs to and basic elements of the business
- 3. Choose one method of your base of operation (i.e., how you want to operate your business):
- Brick-and-mortar
- E-commerce
- Mix between the two
- 4. Apply all of the applicable sections contained in Chapter 9.
- 5. Design and describe your physical facilities.
- 6. Perform a SWOT analysis on this location plan, with a minimum of five items in each quadrant. Also describe how you will overcome your weaknesses and threats.
- 7. Describe if your business model is going to be a B2B, B2C C2C, information-based, content-based, transaction-based, or emerging options, and why.
- 8. Use bold headings in your essay to separate the different sections of your plan as described above.
- 9. Follow APA guidelines for citing your sources and references.
