While the Soviet Union had been a great ally in the war against Hitler and the Nazis, they now proved to be a very competitive enemy. Review this week's reading and assignments and then respond to the following questions:
- Discuss the idea of McCarthyism and Containment.
- Why did the US think it was necessary to go into Korea in the first place?
- Discuss the concept of “Domino Theory” and why there was such concern that it would happen in Korea.
