1. What kind of king is God to Israel? What are his qualities, attributes, concerns, activities? What is his character like? What would it be like to have someone like this as the king of your nation?
2. What connections can you draw between Jesus’ qualities, attributes, concerns, activities, and character and those of God in this Psalm? Give specific examples from the Gospel portrayals of Jesus’ life, teaching and ministry.
3. On the basis of these reflections, discuss why it would be understood as “Good News” (in both the OT and the NT) for God’s Kingdom or rule to be established?
