The Goal
- Jonah's three measures for production management are throughput, inventory and operational expense, though the way he defines them is different than you have probably seen before. Would they work in your company?
- Jonah says to manage bottleneck resources by first, making sure a bottleneck's time is not wasted; and second, taking some of the load off of a bottleneck and giving it to a non-bottleneck. "The Goal" exhibits several examples of both of these principles. Give an example from your experience where either a bottleneck was managed properly or where it wasn't.
