The Evolution of armed conflicts

Question:

Explain the evolution of armed conflicts since the end of the Second World War. Make sure to discuss the causes of armed conflicts, as well as how the nature of warfare has changed. When writing your answer make sure to refer to at least three armed conflicts that we have discussed in class (i.e. First World War, Second World War, the Cold war, Democratic Republic of Congo, Syria, and the War on Terror).

Advice for the examination:

• Your answer should be roughly between 1500 to 2000 words.
• Use class material (readings, discussions, documentaries), as well as reputable external sources if you need to.
• Your answer should be in essay format (i.e. introduction, development, and conclusion).
• To be submitted on Brightspace before 3:00 pm on October 21st, 2020.
