The “Diary of Readings and Class Discussions” Assignment

 Based on our class discussions of the two films and the concepts you have learned in our course, compare Ivan Danko from Red Heat to Viktor Navorski from The Terminal. This assignment is for a very short essay of between 250 and 350 words (include the word count at the end). No additional research and no references. Do not retell the plot of the films, but focus on the points from our discussions after we watched them. If you feel the need to quote the readings assigned for either film, please do so by putting the quote in the quotation marks followed by the author’s name and page number in the brackets. However, extensive quotes from the readings or following their text too closely is strongly discouraged and may result in a lower mark. The principal focus of this assignment is on the analysis of the two films – not the readings -- along the lines of our class discussions after the films.
