The death of Paul McCartney rumors

This is a short assignment, about 300 words.  You are still required to use MLA documentation with at least 2 in-text citations and Works Cited page.

Select one of the rumors treated at length in our Chapter 13 readings: the death of Paul McCartney rumors.

I will provide the pictures of the book

(1) Give adequate description of the rumor.  Retell it in your own words.  You can quote directly as well. Use a citation with the author's name and page number or just the page number if you used the author's name to introduce the quote.   Make sure you use quotations correctly, place the period in the right place, and include the correct information in the citation.

(2) Use Knapp's essay, "A Psychology of Rumor," pgs. 496-497 to classify the rumor  as one of the three main types (such as "wedge-driving aggression rumor"). You may use direct quotes here from Knapp.  Make sure you use quotations correctly, place the period in the right place, and include the correct information in parentheses.

(3) Explain why this particular rumor was successful in terms of being accepted as truth.  Why did people believe it??
