1. Explain basic radio wave theory including radio waves and frequencies. What are some problems of the radio technology used in law enforcement and outline the effects these problems can create within a department.
2. Describe how the cell phone is an investigative instrument capable of augmenting tools used to assist physical surveillance?
3. If you were the chief executive of a law enforcement agency who had to make a decision concerning the development of a new communications system, how would you begin that process? Which system might you choose and why? Would the size of the agency affect your decision?
4. Mobile command posts and other command and control technology help monitor personnel. Briefly summarize the application of this technology.
