Technology and Education

Technology can enhance education but can also be detrimental. In this assignment, you will analyze the value of technology in education and evaluate whether educators should have a role with technology in schools. You will also determine the how technology will influence the future of education.
General Requirements:
Use the following information to ensure successful completion of the assignment:

• Doctoral learners are required to use APA style for their writing assignments. The APA Style Guide is located in the Student Success Center. 
• This assignment requires that at least two additional scholarly research sources related to this topic, and at least one in-text citation from each source be included.

Directions:
Write a paper (1,500-1,750 words) that addresses technology in education. Include the following in your paper:

1. A research-supported discussion of overall role and value of technology in education. 
2. A research-supported discussion of the role of the educator in using technology in education. In your discussion, propose research-supported strategies outlining how you will deal with teachers who struggle with understanding and avoid using technology in their classrooms.
3. A research-supported discussion of how technology will (or will not) influence the future of education. (Note: If you propose that the influence of technology will increase, suggest strategies that you, as the educational leader, will use to pay for this increased technology. If you propose that the influence of technology will decrease, suggest ways that you, as the educational leader, will use the money currently allocated for technology.)
