Summative Assessment: Diversity and Case Management Analysis

To prevent bias and adapt your case management practices to each person you work with, you must understand how to respond to diverse clients. Each person has specific circumstances that shape their experience, and case management requires a sensitivity to those experiences. 

Choose a diverse population. This population can be chosen based on gender, race, sexuality, culture, ethnicity, or disability. 

Write a 700-word handout for your colleagues in which you:

• Describe the population. 
• Elaborate on risk factors in the population related to the criminal justice system. 
• Provide advice to case managers on how to best meet the needs of the population you chose. 

Include a minimum of 2 sources to support the content of your handout.
