Executive Summary Instructions 

The Executive Summary is written for high-level decision-makers and those who may not have enough time to read a lengthy report in an organization.  The Executive Summary gives a thorough snapshot of the purpose, implications, recommendations, and any other essential information for a leader to make an informed decision.  

you completed a major research paper in the form of a leadership training proposal.  You Chief is impressed with the proposal and wishes to brief the City Manager and City Council on his proposal.  The Chief would like for you to produce an executive summary for the City Manager/City Council presentation. You have one week to produce the document.  

Your document will still have an APA compliant cover page.  No abstract is needed for this paper. It is expected that there will be very few (if any) references in this Executive Summary.  If you have references you will need a reference page. It is expected that your Executive Summary main body will be one page up to 10% of the length of your original report
