Summary and Reflection of an article

Select a peer reviewed journal article published within the last ten years that discusses a cultural, linguistic, or socioeconomic issue in the field of testing and assessment. 

The article must be approved by your instructor.

1. Write a summary of the article.
2. Include in your summary a description of the specific cultural, linguistic, or socioeconomic issue in the field of testing and assessment that is being highlighted in your article.
3. Include in your summary how testing and assessment can be biased when related to the cultural, linguistic, or socioeconomic group of students that are being highlighted in your article.
4. Write a reflection which includes your opinion of the author’s viewpoint.
5. Include in your reflection how the data-informed research can be utilized in improving instruction and student achievement.
6. Include in your reflection how the article relates to our readings and class discussion in EDF4430.
7. Support your opinion statements with citations from the article and citations from our course text.
8. All citations must be written in APA format.
9. Provide complete bibliographic information on the article written in APA format.
10. Attach a copy of the article with your review.
