Specific Problem: Workplace violence (WPV) against nurses is a pervasive problem as exacerbated by chronic understaffing, high stress at work, and lackadaisical reporting and prevention system (Yildiz et al., 2025). This can cause a lot of nurse burnout, turnover, and poor patient safety.

Why this is important: Workplace violence is a serious issue among nurses in the workplace which has a direct effect on nurse retention, physical and psychological health and care to patients.
