Statement of Purpose

This is a 3-4 page, well-written essay that explains who you are and how you would benefit from, and contribute to, the Masters degree program of Criminal Justice. Describe yourself, your motivations for pursuing the MS-CCJ, and your expectations of the program. Discuss relevant past experiences, such as your education, jobs, community activities, leadership roles, awards and honors. Write about how these experiences have shaped you and prepared you for the MS-CJJ. Describe why you want to study criminology and criminal justice at UTEP.
