Provide an example of (1) a statement and (2) a non-statement that you came across sometime this week in your everyday life. The examples could be drawn from a website, a social media post, a text thread on your phone, a magazine article or book, a textbook for another class, etc. The options are endless; the examples can be straightforward or creative, just nothing inappropriate. 

• Write out the statement / non-statement and state why it is one or the other. 
• Provide the source of each example (where it is from).
