State and Political Processes

Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words: 

This week we take some time to explore how local government works. Our local government often makes decisions that will impact us directly. They can do everything from regulate our water usage to where we can park on the street.

• First, let’s explore your local form of government. Do you have a strong mayor or weak mayor system of local government structure?
• Discuss the impact these governing bodies have on police, fire, water, transportation, zoning, schools, etc.
• How have you used these services in the past and how do they serve you now?
