Spot the Ethical Issues in a Live criminal trial
Please observe a live criminal trial. It can be a pre-recorded trial that is located on YouTube or CourtTV, or a trial in your jurisdiction that is live. You may attend in person or via Zoom. Be sure to include each of the key aspects in the Guiding Questions below.
Your pape must include the following:
-Name of the case (i.e., State of Florida vs John Smith)
-Charges
-Summary of the case facts
-Names of parties involved (defendant, prosecutor, defense attorney, judge, lead investigating officer)
-Identify any ethical issues that arose (or could arise) from each party based on the case –including the police involved.
-The verdict
-Do you believe the verdict was correct? Why or why not?
Feel free to do outside research regarding the case to understand the full context, but I expect the post to reflect your observations of the actual trial. Word count minimum is 750 words. Late assignments will not be accepted unless prior arrangements have been made with me.
