I believe spirituality is the core of your being. I am a born-again Christian. My beliefs shape the way I live, speak, and treat others. It is how I cope with stress, loss, and success. There are many different religions in the world, but I believe everyone can relate the same as I do with regards to the religion they practice. My God tells me to love one another so it has helped me care for patients. All my patients get the same care no matter their background, beliefs, or social standing. Spiritual care involves serving the whole person (Puchalski, 2001) and because of my beliefs, I can understand this concept.
