Like the author of the cottage, I also had a special place where I used to visit. It was a spot next to the beach. The sandy soil was always white as snow. I used to sit adjacent to the brown coral reefs rugged from years of erosion. I loved looking at the patterns made by the waves as the blue water splashed on the shore. There was a calm breeze that brought a feeling of relaxation. There shore was dotted by small boats with fishermen mending their torn nets. Sometimes, people would go swimming in the salty water. It was common to see tourists in bigger boats sightseeing. The spot was also a favourite for young couples who would come to the shore to spend romantic moments together. The sunset was breath-taking. The sky turned from blue to a tint of orange. The sun descended gently into the water. As darkness surrounded, this signalled my time to return home.
