hello. I have a lab for soil engineering. I need a 1 page memo if you could help its about direct shear test
I need to write a 1 page memo for direct shear test. here are the instructions:
For the direct shear test, plot the horizontal displacement (in) versus the shear stress (ksf) for each data set on a single graph or on three individual graphs (It is up to you). Use a specimen diameter of 2.42 inches and convert the shear stress from psi to ksf. Determine the peak shear stress from the displacement versus shear stress graph and then plot the normal stress (ksf) versus the maximum shear stress (ksf). There should be only three points on this graph. From there set a linear trendline through the data. The y-intercept of the linear equation is the value of the cohesion (in psf) while the arctangent of the slope is the angle of friction (degrees). I do not need a table showing the angle of friction or cohesion value. Just report this value in the memo. I will attach a photo and an excel file that has the data for the lab. I would need the memo and an excel file that has the graph just follow the instructions please! I need it in 3 hours please !!! I asked a tutor and he bailed on me the last minute !! I could select an earlier date than tomorrow but I need it in 2 hours please !!
