ANSWER DB QUESTION IN 150 WORDS OR MORE

Property crimes have been variously explained.  Reflect back on the theories that studied at an earlier part of the semester.  Do you think that property criminals can be explained primarily by rational choice (and classical) theories or do you think that they are primarily the result of deterministic theories (e.g., anomie and differential association)? Why?  Explain. In other words, since so much property crime is motivated by economic gain it becomes an interesting theory to think of in these terms. Or, do you think that property crime is primarily rooted in a society which places so much emphasis on economics?
