Prompt 1: Describe 3 topics from Chapter 15 that you found interesting. Three topics I found interesting in Chapter 15 were invasion, succession, and gentrification. 

Prompt 2: Define demography and explain the three processes that produce changes in populations.

Prompt 3: Discuss Malthusian, Marxist, and neo Malthusian perspectives on population as well as demographic transition theory.

Prompt 4: Explain how cities develop through preindustrial, industrial, and postindustrial stages.

Prompt 5: Identify the best-case and worst-case scenarios regarding population and urban growth in the twenty-first century, and discuss how some of the worst-case 
scenarios might be averted.
