The talk is delivered by a statistician Hans Rosling, and it deals in part with statistical data that can help you visualize and relate to some of the issues surrounding global health. Drawing on the readings of this week’s chapter as well the video, please identify and describe one social determinant of global health (determinants of health include a whole range of social, economic, and environmental factors that influence the health status of individuals or populations). What kind of an intervention in global health policy or services or other social factors can have a positive effect on that determinant?
