The IMF and World Bank are the world’s two leading lending institutions, but often their monetary assistance disappears once it enters the banking systems of developing countries.  Cite concrete evidence or discuss specific and concrete example that supports the assertion that assistance to developing countries sometimes is misappropriated by officials in developing countries.  Determine and describe main factors that account for the misuse of these funds.  Consider different concrete arguments for and against lending to developing countries by the IMF and the World Bank. Cite specific examples of such arguments.
