For this weeks assignment you will be applying the sociological theories to the institution of Government.  Using the Functionalist perspective, Conflict Perspective, or the Interactionist Perspective please describe the institution from a sociological point of view.  Also, provide examples of each as you compare them.  Please refrain from using the exact wording from the text but rather form you essay on how you would explain it to a friend or peer who has not had a sociology class.
