Social Work--Child Advocacy

Must interview a professional in the field of child welfare/social work and write a 4-6 page paper. (If you're already in the field or have been you can use your own answers.)

Must ask the chosen professional the following six questions...

1. What is a typical day like at your agency?
2. What are the major challenges in working at your agency?
3. What does your agency look for in entry-level hires? What skills or traits are valued most?
4. What skills or traits are valued least? What workplace behaviors are problematic for employers?
5. How did you get your first job? What has your career "arc" been like?
6. What words of advice would you have for someone about to enter the professional job market for the first time?
