Social Work: Assignment 1

 On this assignment you have to select one individual from the list I sent. I picked Mary Richmond. I liked her because “She was trained to be a "friendly visitor," which was the initial term for a caseworker. She visited the homes of people in need and tried to help them improve their life situation.”  

Submit a 2-page document in which you highlight the important contributions of the individual you selected.

• Outline the individual’s path to working in the social work field.
• Describe the most important contribution(s) of the individual to the field.
• Explain how the study of this individual would inform your practice as a social worker.
