Module 2: The Scientific Method
Find out how the scientific method could be applied to a social issue. Select a social issue. Look at the different elements of the scientific method. Apply the scientific method to the social issue and give us an idea of what your research would look like.
Remember to review the academic expectations for your submission.

· Submit your initial discussion post by 11:59 pm ET on Wednesday, and react critically to at least two of the discussion posts of your classmates by 11:59 pm ET on Sunday.

Module 2: Sociological Imagination
Look at a common element in the society in which you live. Marriage is a good example. Try to explain this as if you were new to the whole concept. Ask yourself, why do people do it? How does it contribute to society? Is there any other way to accomplish what it does?
Now imagine that you are reporting to members of a different planet about your findings. Determine a sociological perspective to develop your analysis.
