The concept of the smart grid is relatively new, and though many do not fully understand it, many of us have the opportunity to start contributing now. The smart grid can begin with smart components, some of which already exist.
Identify any smart components that you may have in your home or place of work. Additionally, research and identify future smart components that you could see yourself using to lower your power bill and reduce your effect on the grid.
