Part-time and Full-time Entrepreneurship

Don’t quit your day job!  Jump in feet first!  These two popular sayings may reflect how some aspiring entrepreneurs feel about their decision to pursue entrepreneurship as either a part-time or full-time endeavor.  Circumstances surrounding the decision will vary, and potential entrepreneurs must carefully analyze the approach that is best for them.

For this Discussion, select an approach (part-time entrepreneurship or full-time entrepreneurship).  What benefits attract you to this particular approach?  What challenges do you see with this approach?  What strategies could be implemented to overcome the challenges?

Read a selection of your colleagues’ postings.

Respond by Day 5 to one colleague who chose the same approach as you, and to one colleague who chose the opposite approach, in one of the following ways:

•  Identify an additional benefit of the approach
•  Offer an additional strategy for overcoming a challenge
