Watch the following film:  Slavery by Another Name.

Afterwards, write a reflection paper (essay format) of at least 350 words that addresses the following prompts: 

• What is the film about? Summarize it. 
• Based on your understanding of the text and the information covered in the film, what issues were central to the various manifestations of the convict lease system?
• Identify three things covered in the film that you did not see in the text.
• How do you see issues of race and class operating in both the text and the film?  Are there issues of gender?  Identify those, as well. 
• What is your general reaction to the film?  Were you affected by it? why or why not?
