Then, start to create your own short story.  Outline the characters, setting, plot, conflict, and theme.  (One-two sentences per category will suffice.)

Finally, choose one of the three prompts below and write a 900-1200 word short story based off of it.

1) You receive a mysterious email with the subject line, "Everything you know is a lie." You open the email and read further. "Act calm as not to alert anyone, but everyone around you is not who they say they are. You need to quietly get out of there and meet me at the spot where you had your first kiss. You know the place. My name is Dallas.

2) You've been playing cards with your friend at a Las Vegas casino for a few hours, and he's winning big. Suddenly, a pit boss grabs you and your friend and hauls you to a back room, where several men are waiting. "What's going on?" you ask. "Your friend has been counting cards, and we don't approve of that here," says the boss. Write this scene.

3) You get back to your studio to develop pictures from the hour you just spent in the park. All of the pictures turn out well, except for a select few. In six photos, there's a strange man in the frame. Who is he?
