Write a 500 word maximum news article that communicates a recent study in biodiversity.

Explain the science in simple terms that your grandmother or your 8th grader cousin could understand.  Avoid scientific jargon, or at the very least define it in such a way that it's meaning becomes clear.

1. Describe the general scientific context for the article (e.g., climate change, conservation, the anthropocene)...something from which you can create a hook for your article.
2. Describe the specific goal of the study. 
3. Report the findings, explaining any critical methodologies that allowed the research team to achieve their goal
4. Explain why the reader should care about this study. (This could be related to anything that affects human society).
