The structure and dynamics of a family unit have been attributed to reasons why some juveniles participate in delinquent activities. While not always the case, the unique characteristics associated with family structure are believed to have significant impacts on decisions related to participation in juvenile delinquency.
In your initial response, identify and explain three characteristics related to family structure that might explain why a juvenile decides to participate in or avoid delinquency. From the three characteristics you selected, identify the one that you believe has the biggest impact on juvenile delinquency decisions. Briefly explain why you believe this single characteristic is more important than others.
