Sex problem essay

-Each student will be required to prepare a detailed discussion to at 

least three human sexuality problems listed below by the instructor.  

These are actual real life examples of human sexuality problems 

encountered by sex therapists, physicians and psychologists and 

counselors in their day to day practice. It is the student’s responsibility 

to prepare a written paper discussing three out of the ten human 

sexuality problems given below. These discussions should be written as 

if you are the therapist or the counselor advising the person with that 

problem. This paper will be due on the third week of the semester.   This

preparation includes the development of advanced problem solving 

skills by acquiring, evaluating and synthesizing information gathered 

from multiple sources (minimum five) including the internet, books and 

journals. The instructor will provide a grade and feedback to the 

students individually and present  a model answer formulated by an 

expert in the field with special reference to the subject matter, writing 

style and the presentation format..  At different intervals throughout the

semester students will be asked to participate in a discussion when some

aspect of these ten problems are being discussed in class.  This makes it 

necessary for the students to maintain regular attendance and active 

participation.

Some examples of human sexuality problems to be discussed are:

For two years I have had absolutely no sexual desire.  During this 

time my husband changed jobs, began drinking to the point that I 

worry he is an alcoholic.  Can there be a connection between my 

depressed sexual interest and his drinking?

I have had Diabetes for many years and now have become 

impotent as a result of the complications of the disease.  I have 

tried everything, but nothing seems to help.  I am really worried 

that my marriage is going to fall apart.
