The animal is elephant 

The sense is how they communicate: Through sounds and creating vibrations in the ground, detect sounds vibrations through their bones, trumpet calls, they dont just "talk" through sounds and vibrations, they can also distinguish between messages. ( greetings, warnings, commands to group)
