Construct a clear claim that interprets a specific line or idea from Plato's Allegory of the Cave. Please limit yourself to the selection available on Canvas.

Write a paper that argues for a claim of the following form:

[Form of Democracy] is best suited to the US population today BECAUSE … 

Your paper should engage with (or refute) Socrates’ argument in the allegory of the cave, wherein he suggests that we might be best ruled by a philosopher-king (or perhaps by philosopher-kings).

The form of democracy that you use in your paper should be (briefly) described in your introductory paragraph. The form of democracy may be the current US form of democracy or it may be one that exists elsewhere or it may be one that you construct.
