For this assignment, assume that you have been asked to develop a document for general educators in which you explain the similarities and differences in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). You have learned that most often, in professional learning, the teachers at your school appreciate both an explanation or description of what they should know as well as a 1-page graphic they can put into their planning book as a reminder.

To complete this task, develop a graphic organizer in which you compare and contrast Section 504 and the ADA. To compare and contrast, we most often use Venn diagrams. You can find sample templates online by conducting an internet search using the phrase “Venn diagram template”.

Then, write a narrative in which you include the following:

• Describe the main provisions of Section 504
• Describe the main provisions of the ADA
• Compare the similarities of the two laws
• Contrast the differences in the two laws
• Evaluate the implications of these laws for classroom practice

Length: 5-7 pages not including title and reference pages.
References: Minimum of 3-5 scholarly resources.
