This assignment has three parts. All parts should be submitted in one document.

Part 1: Discuss the required eligibility and programming for students with EBD, including the key issues in determining eligibility and how differing backgrounds and cultures can affect students’ eligibility.

Part 2: Research the criteria for determining eligibility for your state and how these criteria compare to the information noted in the text. For example, view Connecticut’s assessment and eligibility’s criteria located under this week’s resources called Guidelines for Identifying and Educating Students with Emotional Disturbance.

Part 3: Create a fictitious student and apply knowledge of characteristics and risk factors for EBD to determine eligibility for EBD using the criteria for your state and from the course readings.

Length: 4-6 pages, not including title and reference page.
