Using the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Carbon Footprint Calculator, students will discuss their carbon footprint.

For this journal assignment, you will need to visit the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Carbon Footprint Calculator and calculate your own carbon footprint.

Next, answer the following questions:

· Did your carbon footprint numbers surprise you? Why, or why not?

· Explain at least two types of changes you were willing to take or not take in each category (energy, transportation, and waste)

· How does globalization impact the world's carbon footprint?

· What role do you think government should take in reducing emissions or otherwise reducing the national carbon footprint?
