Chosen character-  the fight for freedom and self-determination. Throughout these chapters, many of the people involved are willing to risk their lives because they believe they have the right to govern themselves instead of living under unfair rule. Their determination shows that the desire for liberty was stronger than the fear of punishment or failure. This theme connects to what we have been learning about the Atlantic Revolutions. The people in the story are not simply fighting a battle; they are challenging a system they believe denies them basic rights. They want the opportunity to shape their own future and make decisions about their lives instead of having those decisions made for them. Their actions demonstrate that freedom often requires sacrifice and courage.  the struggle for freedom was not easy or quick. The characters faced difficult choices, setbacks, and uncertainty, but they continued because they believed the outcome would benefit future generations. That message is still meaningful today because people around the world continue to speak out for equal rights, fair representation, and justice. These chapters helped me understand that the fight for liberty is not just part of history it is an idea that continues to influence societies around the world.

• Analyze as a Historical Source: Assess Blades of Freedom  as a distinct kind of historical source. Explain how the graphic novel  format (illustrations, dialogue, pacing) uniquely conveys historical  arguments, actors, or perspectives compared to a traditional textbook.
   
• Evaluate:  Assess the narrative's portrayal of emancipation and revolution. What  are the strengths of using this medium to tell this history, and what  complexities or nuances might it leave out or oversimplify?
