Compare ads (1730s to 1790) about runaways from Southern Colonies with ads for runaways from northern colonies. Make sure you have ads from both northern and southern colonies.

How do runaway slave ads change from the colonial period (1730s to 1790) to the Early National era (1790 to 1820)? Make sure you include ads from a variety of states. 

Compare runaway slave ads from the old south (Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, and Maryland) with the trans-mountain west (Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas) during the period from 1821 to 1860.
