In his Res Gestae Divi Augusti, Augustus lists his accomplishments from his rise to prominence in 44 BC to the end of his time as emperor? Can you list some of his positive accomplishments?  That being said, what parts of his autobiography has he “spun” to show him in a favorable light?  Read the excerpt from Suetonius’ Life of Augustus.  How does this excerpt compare with that of the Res Gestae?  Do you think this behavior related somewhat to his positive accomplishments while he was emperor?   Make sure to cite at least 4 or 5 specific examples at length from both Augustus' autobiography as well as Suetonius' Life of Augustus when answering this question!
