Rhetorical Analysis

 For this assignment, you will draft an essay that analyzes and evaluates two news articles that discuss the same topic from two different perspectives. For instance, think of a current issue and find an article that focuses on the pros of this issue and one that focuses on the cons of this issue. 

1. How do context, audience, and purpose influence the decisions that each writer makes in the articles?
2. Note specific examples of those decisions based on the rhetorical situation.
3. How well do you think the audience received the message of the article? Did the authors achieve their purpose?
4. Why is the writer's understanding the audience important in conveying the message?
