1. Search the internet job sites for a posting for the position of Chief Merchandising Officer.  In the posting that you choose, what are the key qualifications that the organization is seeking in their perfect candidate?  What is the salary range?  Document the same information for a “Buyer” position.   Would you be interested in a career in Merchandise Management?  Why or why not?

2. Having too much inventory or having too little both have negative impacts on the profitability of a retailer.  Why might Kohl’s sales be more affected by the weather than Nordstrom’s sales?  Which retailer has an advantage based on this?  Explain why this is.
