Essay 1: Response Writing

In this essay, you will select an action of a character from one of the short stories we have read. Develop a well-organized response to the following question in an essay of 2-3 pages:

In the context of this story, was this character’s action justified? Why or
why not? 

Make sure you clearly state which action you are responding to. Make sure you provide at least two strong reasons for your argument, including specific support from the story.

Your paper should also include:

· An appropriate and interesting title

· A list of works cited in MLA format including the work(s) you used for support (Your story or poem may be the only entry on your Works Cited list.)
