  I say the United States invest in nuclear power. Nuclear power has the least effect on nature since it doesn’t discharge any greenhouse gas such as methane and carbon dioxide. Nuclear power may be expensive to set up, but the life span is between 40-60 years. Therefore, it has a low operating cost. It is much more reliable than solar or wind energy since it doesn’t depend on weather conditions to run. Nuclear power has a more persistent supply than traditional energy. This form of energy also doesn’t rely on fossil fuels, therefore causes less damage to our environment and atmosphere. Although, it is costly to build the nuclear power plant, it can produce power on a larger scale than any other energy source, can run uninterrupted longer and it’s cost of fuel (uranium) is low.
