There are 5 executive core qualifications. The first core qualification is leading change. This core qualification involves the ability to bring about strategic change to meet organizational goals. The second core qualification is leading people. This core qualification involves the ability to lead people toward meeting the organization's vision, mission, and goals. The third core qualification is results driven. This core qualification involves the ability to meet organizational goals and customer expectations. The fourth core qualification is business acumen. This core qualification involves the ability to manage human, financial, and information resources strategically. The last core qualification is building coalitions. This core qualification involves the ability to build coalitions internally and with other Federal agencies, State and local governments, nonprofit and private sector organizations, foreign governments, or international organizations to achieve common goals. I think business acumen is the most crucial to public administration.Being able to manage a business strategically is very important, it can make or break a company.
