Respond

Respond to each story in a paragraph in which you discuss a significant quote to the central conflict. Begin the paragraph with a topic sentence stating the author and the title of the story and the central conflict of the story. Then, introduce the speaker or the context of the quote and state the exact quote. Analyze the purpose of the quote. Each paragraph should be developed in about 5 sentences. Include both of your paragraphs in one post. The topic sentences will announce which story you are discussing.

Part I: Post one paragraph about "Desiree's Baby" and another paragraph about "Sweetness" by Friday September 24. Add a detail about the author if you found one in one of the websites that is relevant to your interpretation of the quote, but this is optional.
