Respond to EL-GA’S POST BELOW ON CONGRESS

The power of Congress has the ability to 'make laws, declare for war, raise and provide public money and oversee its proper expenditure, impeach and try federal officers, approve presidential appointments, approve treaties negotiated by the executive branch, and oversight and investigations'. The simple way to put bicameralism is checks and balances preventing the legislative branch from having too much power and to be equal throughout the government decisions. I believe the Congress as in institution is dysfunctional, and here are my opinions on the matter with some of recent events. When it comes to money or funding, we are in debt, with all the tax paying that every single person in the United States does is improper handling of money. Going to war or to aid in someone else's war cost a lot. When Covid hit and basically shut down the country everyone was hurting and struggle to pay just to live their lives. I think people in Congress do not give all the information to the people on why they do things and that is where the problem occurs.
